This project transformed a 1960's Split Level into a traditional looking Virginia farmhouse. The interiors were gutted and rebuilt, a second floor added creating two story interior spaces, and a dining room was built at the rear. The house now takes advantage of views of rolling farm land out the front windows and a lake at the new back brick terrace. Salvaged items like the porch columns and brackets create historic character while energy efficient systems and modern construction meet today's needs.
